Lu Zian is a graphic designer focused on brand design, with an academic background in Visual Communication Design from Tongji University College of Design and Innovation and Basel School of Design. His practice centers on building clear and culturally resonant brand expressions through visual language, with a strong focus on reshaping brand narratives from core strategic thinking and translating them into cohesive visual identity systems.

His experience spans both design consultancies and in-house brand teams, giving him perspectives from both the agency and client side. He previously worked at United Design Lab and renewable energy technology company Envision Group, where he was involved in a range of branding and rebranding projects across different industries. His work covers brand strategy, visual identity systems, and brand experience design.

Through years of cross-disciplinary practice, he has developed an approach that combines strategic thinking with strong visual storytelling — focusing not only on aesthetics and consistency, but also on the deeper logic, context, and long-term value behind a brand. He later co-founded Rela - an independent design studio, continuing to provide holistic brand design services from strategy through visual execution.
